AES Clean Energy (AES CE) is seeking a Product Systems Senior Analyst (PSA) to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing our software applications and products that support our rapidly growing business. AES CE, a division of The AES Corporation, specializes in developing, owning, and operating renewable energy projects. The Product Systems Analyst will be part of a team of developers and product teams to design, implement, and maintain solutions that meet our organization’s needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of business processes and IT systems. This position will preferably be based in the Louisville, Colorado office or alternate location Salt Lake City, Utah, but fully remote is possible.  

  

Key Responsibilities  

 

  • Product Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with product owners, product managers, stakeholders, and users to gather and document detailed product requirements. Analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications and system designs. Conduct feasibility studies and impact analysis to assess potential solutions.  

 

  • System Design and Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions using Quickbase, SQL, and other relevant technologies. Create detailed system documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and data models.  

 

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Support the product lifecycle from concept to launch and ongoing optimization. Troubleshoot issues with the product and create best practices to prevent future issues. Provide support to end-users and guidance to junior analysts to expand support. Monitor and analyze product performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.  

 

  • Testing, Quality Assurance & Training: Develop and execute test plans to ensure product systems meet quality standards and user expectations. Conduct system testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT) processes. Identify, document, and resolve system issues and defects. Training of users on application use, functionality, data quality and reporting and help them resolve application issues. Create and maintain effective application documentation and user support materials  

 

Skills and Qualifications:  

  • College Degree in Computer Science, Technology, or Business field. 

  • 3-5 years’ demonstrated experience in the implementation and support of business systems software platforms.  

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. BI tools experience desired (Power BI preferred)  

  • Strong Data Analysis and Modeling experience and understanding of data structures.  

  • Broad technical acumen including comfort with relational databases, and data structures (Quickbase experience preferred). 

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance, prioritize, and manage multiple projects of differing priorities and deadlines.  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to comfortably communicate with all levels of the organization. Create comprehensive and accurate documentation.  

  • Ability to work with autonomy in a fast-paced environment and a powerful sense of accountability in an environment committed to continuous improvement and agile development.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $83,500 and $100,300/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
