Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for independently gathering, analyzing, and reporting multi-faceted investment data.  This position is also responsible for maintaining accuracy of complex accounting systems, monitoring portfolio compliance, and playing a lead role in managing projects.  Participates in and contributes toward the development of the investment operation’s investment processes and policies that achieve the objectives of investment operations.

Job Responsibilities:
Takes an independent lead role to:

  • gather, analyze, and report investment performance data
  • identify and resolve significant problems in a timely manner
  • determine need for and create analytical reports
  • maintain accuracy and integrity of complex applications, systems, and databases
  • reconcile information from various investment management systems
  • prepare modeling of various securities or information
  • monitor portfolio compliance
  • perform the month-end closing process
  • produce ad-hoc reports of information from various sources
  • leads special project and prepare custom analyses for clients and management
  • Act as a technical expert in operations processes, procedures and technology
  • Continually looks for ways to automate and streamline processes and procedures; works independently to determine solutions.  Initiate and implement high-impact quality projects leading to operational efficiency and higher productivity.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of investment strategies and tactics within the function
  • Maintain and foster effective relationships at all levels both within and outside of the company with senior leaders, portfolio managers, traders, research, analysts and Wall Street.
  • Provide back-up analytical and accounting support to other investment classes as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or related field; graduate degree, CPA, CFA or similar designation strongly preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years progressively responsible investment operations experience to include comprehensive knowledge of investment securities, investment accounting, operations, and the use of technology
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to build long-term relationships at all levels with co-workers and internal/external clients.
  • Proven skill in negotiating, influencing and willingness to involve others in the decision-making process.
  • Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Achievement orientation demonstrated by a long track record of leadership, solid judgment, high performance and achievement of target results.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Bloomberg and other investment management systems as well as the MS Office suite.

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.

 

Base Salary Range:

$81,500.00 - $122,300.00
