As a Senior Analyst CLO Operations, you’re responsible for providing operational support for the trading and reporting functions within the Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLO) Operations team.  Every day is different as questions arise in real time on the underlying trades in our funds.  This position will work very closely with front office traders and analysts, third party accounting support, agent banks, and our internal legal team and will collaborate with the operations, accounting, and reporting teams within the larger Empower investments group.  The functions supported by the analyst include the processing and reconciliation of trade related data, validating security master file (SMF) data, resolving cash and position discrepancies, account maintenance, and monthly reporting.

What you will do

  • Communicating cash and position discrepancies with external accounting administrator or trustee bank to ensure trades are processed and settled accurately for bank loans on each existing CLO or CLO warehouse.
  • Validating SMF data of new loans to our portfolios
  • Answer a large volume of questions regarding trade allocations, KYC data, etc. with a target of same day response (sometimes very time sensitive)
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external partners and customers
  • Prepare documents and communicate elections for corporate actions.
  • Reconcile and research loan rating variances and other security attributes as required.
  • Assist with reconciliation and request of funds during warehouse stage.
  • Support internal and external audit requests as needed.
  • Keep detailed supporting documentation of processes and individual transactions.
  • Build-out new processes and improvements on a regular basis
  • Proactively improve current operating procedures
  • Other tasks as assigned.

What you will bring

  • 3+ years financial services experience and knowledge of investment products and back-office/reporting operational support.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, related field, or commensurate experience
  • Proficient computer skills and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical reconciliation and problem-solving skills
  • Relentless focus on accuracy and supporting documentation for all that you do.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, agile environment successfully.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and interact effectively with team members and other internal/external partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Base Salary Range

$80,100.00 - $113,175.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
