Summary

In the Sr. Advisor, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) role, you will play an important part in Save the Children US’s (SCUS) DEI strategy, programs, organizational structure, and related activities. You will be responsible for advancing the initiatives, programs, and activities related to the strategic framework, including the action plans and day-to-day support of SCUS Employee Affinity Groups (EAG), DEI Council and related DEI working groups. You will assist with the establishment of long term operational objectives by researching, creating measurable metrics and tracking factors that may impact the success of programs and initiatives. This key position provides thought partnership, guidance, and support related to the alignment, governance, administrative, and operational facets of DEI efforts. You will collaborate with others to provide input into the strategic plans and will also collaborate with partners and stakeholders, including the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), EAG Executive Sponsors, People & Culture, Divisions, subject matter experts, and external organizations.

What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Program Management – 70%

  • Develop and drive programs and initiatives aligned with SCUS DEI framework and strategy, in close partnership with the Chief Diversity Officer (CDO)
  • Provide program leadership, guidance, and support to EAGs and their leaders, as well as to DEI Council Members, including execution, communications, initiatives, events, and day-to-day consultation and operations
  • Drive the establishment of long term operational objectives by researching, creating measurable metrics, and tracking factors that may impact the success of DEI efforts and programs
  • Facilitate the education of EAGs, the DEI Council and related working groups around the role of People & Culture and available resources, enabling them to navigate talent-related policies, practices, compliance, and support for employees. Partner with Talent Acquisition on …
