What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Accounting Manager you will be responsible for directing the company’s accounting and financial operations functions by implementing best-in-class processes that can scale with company growth. Reporting to the Global Financial Controller with two Senior Accountants as direct reports, you will own the company’s financial reporting infrastructure and compliance. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, visionary leadership, and technical skill.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the company’s accounting activity, including all general ledger, technical accounting, tax, payroll, procure to pay, order to cash, revenue recognition and cash forecasting activities
  • Ensure complete and accurate consolidation alongside relevant reporting for multiple locations (domestic and international) and multiple business units (programs and projects, software, and data)
  • Support the continued improvement efforts for NetSuite ERP and other financial applications to drive scalability and reliability in our finance and accounting operations; provide insight and recommendations for future-state systems, including ERP and adjacent implementations 
  • Thought leader for all accounting processes, including future-state systems potential
  • Provide accounting expertise to ensure various transactions are properly recorded and in accordance with GAAP and company policies
  • Consider and maintain internal management accounting frameworks for direct FP&A budgeting support, including internal and corporate projects reporting alongside external/revenue-generating projects
  • Develop, maintain, and document accounting policies, internal controls and systems in accordance with GAAP
  • Lead internal and external financial audit requests
  • Lead DCAA compliance reporting in combination with the Programs Finance Manager
  • Manage external business relationships including auditors, tax accountants, consultants, the DCAA, and other key relationships 
  • Interface with executive team and company managers to ensure adherence to policies and standardization of processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned (expected to be less than 10% of the responsibilities listed above)

Pre-Requisites

  • Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for government clearances

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/ BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • 7+ years proven accounting experience, with a mix of public accounting and projects-based company experience
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP as an Active CPA (maintaining certification at all times)
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual close experience, including preparing sufficient documentation for audit and tax support
  • Intermediate-level user of NetSuite ERP and strong Microsoft Excel skills
