Senior Accounting Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to our Controller, we are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to own the day to day accounting operations and scale our financial processes. This role requires someone with a keen eye for process improvement and the ability to wear multiple hats. This may be the perfect opportunity for you if you’re someone who loves to work on small and scrappy teams, and build processes from the ground up!

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Own the AP and corporate credit card process, ensuring GL coding is accurate and funds are spent in accordance with company policy.
• Support the Controller with month end close and regulatory reporting.
• Manage overseas outsourced accounting contractors. This includes identifying tasks that can be delegated to the team, training them and reviewing their work product.
• Work closely with external auditors on annual financial statement audit.
• Own account reconciliations.
• Identify areas of improvement in our processes and financial reporting and implement strategies to increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Play a key role in ERP system implementations.
• Champion Netsuite best practices and proactively identify ways to use the system more effectively.
• Design and document accounting policies and procedures.
• Partner with cross functional teams on ad hoc requests or projects.

YOU IDEALLY HAVE:

• Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in Accounting or related field.
• 8+ years of accounting experience (ideally mix of public accounting and industry experience).
• Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information with discretion.
• A high degree of urgency and a strong sense of ownership.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent spreadsheet skills and strong technical accounting knowledge.

IT'S A BONUS IF YOU HAVE:

• CPA designation.
• Prior start up experience.
• Familiarity with our finance tech stack (QBO, Netsuite, Bill.com, Ramp, Numeric).
• Experience working with outsourced accounting service providers.
