What you will do

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will focus primarily on financial reporting, general accounting, and compliance-related tasks. 

Financial Reporting & General Accounting:

    1. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes and prepare financial statements.
    2. Reconcile accounts and prepare balance sheet schedules.
    3. Prepare and oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial adjustments.

Audit & Financial Statement Preparation:

    1. Work directly with external auditors during the annual audit process.
    2. Assist in the preparation and drafting of financial statements, including footnotes.
    3. Provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors to ensure timely completion of the audit.

Lender Reporting:

    1. Work closely with FP&A to prepare and submit required financial reports for lenders.
    2. Ensure compliance with lender reporting requirements, including timely submission of quarterly and annual statements.
    3. Assist in providing necessary documentation for covenant compliance.

Tax Compliance & Liaison with Tax Advisors:

    1. Work alongside the Controller and external tax advisors to provide necessary financial information for business tax filings.
    2. Assist with ensuring compliance with tax regulations and support the timely submission of business tax returns.
    3. Support tax-related inquiries as needed.

Debt Accounting & Compliance:

    1. Manage and track debt schedules and ensure compliance with loan covenants.
    2. Assist in the accounting of debt-related transactions, including interest expense.
    3. Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors regarding debt-related disclosures.

Other Duties:

    1. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial functions.
    2. Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and tax laws.
    3. Support ad-hoc financial projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or equivalent industry experience
  • CPA is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to quickly learn new accounting software (experience with Sage Intacct is a plus, but not required)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical accounting and tax guidance and apply it to real-world business scenarios

The pay range for this role is $100,000/ year- $120,000/ year. Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.
