Mason is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the growing Finance & Accounting Department, reporting to the Accounting Manager. In this role, you will be asked to help assist through many aspects of the day to day operations on the accounting team.  Specifically, your responsibilities will help through monthly reconciliations, AP, cash collections, invoicing, inventory accounting as well as various ad-hoc projects. You will be working collaboratively across the organization to develop and implement new policies, best practices, and tools to help create further operational excellence.  If you’re looking for a fast-paced environment, new challenges to tackle every day, unique cross team exposure, and an opportunity to play a critical role in building a great team, this is the role for you.

What you’ll work on:

  • Assist in all phases of corporate accounting including but not limited to AP, AR, accruals, COGS, inventory, fixed assets, prepaids, cash planning, and the closing process
  • Create monthly invoicing for customers & follow-up on outstanding balances
  • Cross functional collaboration with sales, operations and engineering to address customer inquiries and resolve billing-related issues efficiently
  • Timely processing of accounts payable leveraging Ramp platform and working with vendors on any billing discrepancies
  • Prepare P&L and balance sheet account reconciliations for critical accounts
  • Process biweekly payroll via Paylocity software
  • Drive process improvement projects to streamline and automate manual workflows
  • Support other special projects according to the needs of the Company
  • Timely preparation of  taxes and other compliance related filings
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial data in support of management reporting
  • And more!

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4+ years of related experience in Accounting
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast paced work environment
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel & related products suite experience
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills

Bonus Points!

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online
  • Support a manufacturing function

 

Full compensation packages are based on experience. 

Pay Range$90,000—$105,000 USD

In addition to the base salary, full-time employees are eligible for participation in Mason’s annual discretionary bonus plan and equity plan, subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay based on exemption status. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate including their skills, experience level, qualifications, location, and other job-related reasons.We know that benefits are also an important piece of your total compensation package.
