We are looking for a self-directed and experienced Senior Accountant to assist with day-to-day finance/accounting operations and the monthly close process. Core Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, Revenue Recognition, and GL Maintenance.

  • Support timely month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Assist with monthly financial reporting.

  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.

  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

  • Participate in cross-functional or process enhancement projects including planning, leading, and execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or commensurate experience.

  • At least 4-5 years of progressive professional accounting experience, preferably with a mix of industry and public accounting.

  • CPA preferred.

  • Proficient with Great Plains and Concur.

  • Strong accounting, quantitative, and analytical skills and ability to accurately apply key U.S. GAAP to different business situations.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly changing environment, with expectations of increasing responsibility and scope over time as proficiency in the position develops.

  • Demonstrates an especially strong sense of ethics and integrity.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent written, oral, listening, and presentation skills. 

  • Ability to work well under pressure and interact at all levels.

  • Capable of handling multiple tasks, possess good organizational and analytical skills, able to work independently, and be extremely flexible.

  • Welcomes challenging/complex projects and demonstrates an ability to work "smarter not harder" by making continuous improvements to the efficiency of processes he/she contributes to and participating as an active change agent.

  • Teamwork is essential to the group, so it is critical that the candidate interact with other team members and managers collaboratively and effectively.
