Core Role Responsibilities:
Assist with day-to-day accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, Revenue Recognition, and GL Maintenance.
Support timely month-end and year-end close processes.
Assist with monthly financial reporting.
Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Participate in cross-functional or process enhancement projects including planning, leading, and execution.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or commensurate experience.
At least 4-5 years of progressive professional accounting experience, preferably with a mix of industry and public accounting.
CPA preferred.
Proficient with Great Plains and Concur.
Strong accounting, quantitative, and analytical skills and ability to accurately apply key U.S. GAAP to different business situations.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly changing environment, with expectations of increasing responsibility and scope over time as proficiency in the position develops.
Demonstrates an especially strong sense of ethics and integrity.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent written, oral, listening, and presentation skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and interact at all levels.
Capable of handling multiple tasks, possess good organizational and analytical skills, able to work independently, and be extremely flexible.
Welcomes challenging/complex projects and demonstrates an ability to work "smarter not harder" by making continuous improvements to the efficiency of processes he/she contributes to and participating as an active change agent.
Teamwork is essential to the group, so it is critical that the candidate interact with other team members and managers collaboratively and effectively.
