As a member of the Accounting team at Branch, you’ll have the opportunity to shape and grow the company and business. You will be a key player of a small team comprised of high performing accounting and finance professionals that work across departments to provide financial support to senior management and department leaders to facilitate decision making. The Senior Accountant will assist by performing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting and finance processes, entries, and reconciliations as well as ad-hoc financial analyses and projects.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Assist and/or manage various accounting related functions including but not limited to revenue recognition, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and the overall general ledger.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close process, including preparation of monthly journal entries, accruals, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and performing inquiries/reviews as necessary to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data
- Assist in the creation and documentation of new accounting processes to enable Branch to scale
- Assist in researching, establishing, and maintaining financial accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP
- Leverage audit experience to enhance internal controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Provide support as needed to department and business leaders
- Perform special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, with experience at a high growth fintech company a plus
- 1-2 years of financial audit experience (non-Big 4)
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting
- Intermediate level Excel skills with experience working with large amounts of data
- Sage Intacct experience, required
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Compensation:
The base compensation range for this role is 110-120k. The salary range displayed reflects an average base salary range for the position across all the US. The base salary offered to an applicant could be higher or lower based on each applicants’ specific skill set, depth of experience, relevant education or training, etc. The base salary range listed excludes commission/ bonus/ equity or benefits.
