Cleerly has created a new standard of care for heart disease through value-based, AI-driven precision diagnostic solutions with the goal of helping prevent heart attacks. Our technology goes beyond traditional measures of heart disease by enabling comprehensive quantification and characterization of atherosclerosis, or plaque buildup, in each of the heart arteries. Cleerly’s solutions are supported by more than a decade of performing some of the world’s largest clinical trials to identify important findings beyond symptoms that increase a person’s risk of heart attacks.
At Cleerly, we collaborate digitally and use a wide variety of systems. Our people use Google Workspace (GMail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides), Slack, Confluence/Jira, and Zoom Video, prior experience in these areas is a plus. About the Opportunity
Cleerly, Inc. is expanding its accounting team and offers an opportunity for Senior Accountant. Candidates with relevant experience in the following industries (or adjacent) will be prioritized: health software & technology, healthcare, and medical devices.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and will be primarily responsible for supporting the Finance and Accounting team on a day-to-day basis. It is essential that this candidate has demonstrably strong analytical and organizational skills.
About the Team

Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger accounts, financial statements, and other financial reports.
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure the accuracy of financial data and compliance with accounting standards.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness, and make adjusting entries as needed.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements and consolidation.
- Prepare and post payroll entries (bi-monthly).
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
- Assist in internal and external audit processes by preparing supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Maintain and track fixed assets, including recording acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
- Monitor and control expenses, ensuring that they are in line with the budget.
- Utilize accounting software and systems to perform job functions efficiently.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Collaborate with other departments and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in accounting and financial procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 5-7 years of experience in a related field.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, fully remote startup/scale-up environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Consolidation experience.
- Experience working in Healthcare, Med-Tech or similar industry a plus.
- Experience with audits is necessary; experience as an auditor a plus.
- Sunshine Act experience a plus.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to be a self-starter.
- Be able to embrace daily change.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task.
- Effective communication skills.
Professional Certifications (Preferred):
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate or a current candidate for the CPA exam
Salary: $97-$110k
*Total Target Compensation (TTC): Total Cash Compensation (including base pay, variable pay, commission, bonuses, etc.). We hire employees anywhere within the United States and account for geography when determining base salary.
