Position Description: 

PAR Technology has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant, Commercial Finance to play a crucial role on a world-class finance team. Position Location:

Chicago, IL, Philadelphia, PA, Austin, TX, Minneapolis, MN, or New Hartford, NY. There is the capability to be remotely based in any of these locations.

Reports To: 

Manager, Asst. Product Controller

What We’re Looking For:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting (Public Company Audit and/or SaaS preferred)

  • ASC 606 experience

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Strong business acumen to understand both accounting and the business

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions

  • Highly motivated with a desire to learn and grow in SaaS

  •  Attention to detail and drive to improve processes

Additional skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)

  • Experience with Planful is a plus

  • Active CPA

Unleash your potential: What you will be doing and owning:

  • Lead timely and well-controlled monthly financial close process for the company’s SaaS product lines

  • Perform all month-end close activities, including technical accounting entries, audit requirements, and reconciliations

  • Maintain effective accounting controls and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404

  • Drive continuous improvement in the close process

  • Facilitate timely and accurate financial data exchange with stakeholders

  • Analyze and explain historical results to internal teams

  • Contribute to special projects and process improvements, including system and company integrations
