Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Flexible with core hours of 10am-2pm

As the Segment Assistant within the SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) team, you’ll work closely with the SEND Segment Manager and other SEND Segment Assistants. The aim of the team is to support Twinkl’s SEND teacher members to find the Twinkl content they need and learn more about SEND, and to reach new potential members and show them the value of a Twinkl membership. 

The majority of your time will be spent on creating high quality, informative and engaging social posts for Twinkl’s SEND Facebook, Instagram and TikTok channels - this will include creating both static and video posts.

You will be full of creative ideas for how to engage our target audience and be willing to try new things and use imaginative strategies to create interest in Twinkl products. You will be a confident communicator, familiar with social media, comfortable on camera, and have experience planning and teaching for learners with SEND in schools or other education settings. 

How you’ll spend your days:

  • Supporting the growth of the SEND teacher market at Twinkl by creating social posts that showcase Twinkl’s products and how they can be used to support learners with SEND.
  • Finding imaginative ways to reach new customers, using your own initiative to create engaging social posts that SEND teachers can relate to.
  • Creating informative content about SEND that provides value to our social media followers and represents Twinkl positively as a source of SEND expertise.
  • Keeping up to date with news, strategies and theories in SEND education in order to be able to share these with our customers.
  • Communicating with others in the SEND team to share ideas and plan campaigns.
  • Staying up to date with developments within the social media channels you are responsible for so that you are able to utilise new features and ensure that your posts achieve the best possible reach.

To succeed in the role, you will have:

  • Experience in SEND classrooms working with pupils with a range of different needs.
  • An interest and enthusiasm for learning more about issues and research within SEND education.
