Cedar’s Security Operations team is at the forefront of safeguarding this mission. By integrating deep threat analysis with cutting-edge technology, we build scalable, proactive detection and prevention measures to protect Cedar and the people we serve.

As a Security Operations Engineer, you’ll collaborate with a diverse and inquisitive team in a rapidly growing environment. Your role will be pivotal in identifying threats, mitigating risks, and building systems that enhance Cedar’s security posture. From planning cross-functional security exercises to developing custom tooling and investigating anomalous behavior, you’ll work on impactful challenges that protect Cedar and the tens of millions of patients we serve.

About you

  • You’re an engineer with a security mindset who tackles challenges with technology over process.
  • You have experience solving technical problems collaboratively in dynamic environments.
  • You excel at communicating security risks and controls to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You’re proactive about raising concerns and proposing improvements.
  • You’re familiar with at least one general-purpose programming language

Bonus points if you have:

  • Familiarity with securing health and payments data, including HIPAA and PCI compliance.
  • Hands-on experience investigating security incidents in complex environments.
