We are currently hiring a remote Security Analyst! You will possess strong technical, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills to provide security support and expertise for clients across the United States. This role involves various responsibilities, including SOC coordination, penetration testing, security remediation, and risk management.

What is the shift and pay?

• 2nd shift: 4:00pm - 12:00am CST, Monday - Friday
• Pay: 25K - 28K pesos monthly

Essential Functions of a Security Analyst

Technical Skills:

• Networking Fundamentals: Understand network protocols, firewalls, and VPNs.
• SIEM Tools: Proficient in platforms like Wazuh, Elastic.
• EDR: Familiar with tools like CrowdStrike, SentinelOne.
• Threat Intelligence: Use feeds to identify vulnerabilities.
• Incident Response: Know triage, containment, eradication, recovery.
• Malware Analysis: Detect infections through logs and alerts.
• Vulnerability Management: Aware of CVEs and patch management.
• IDS/IPS: Configure and monitor intrusion systems.
• Scripting: Basic knowledge of Python, Bash, PowerShell.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

• Log Analysis: Analyze logs from multiple sources.
• Anomaly Detection: Recognize deviations from normal behavior.
• Root Cause Analysis: Determine causes of incidents.
• Critical Thinking: Solve complex security problems under pressure.

Cybersecurity Frameworks and Best Practices:

• Compliance: Understand standards like GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST.
• Attack Vectors and Tactics: Familiar with MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks.

Communication Skills:

• Incident Reporting: Write clear incident reports.
• Collaboration: Work with IT, security teams, and customers.
• Customer Communication: Communicate incident status and recommendations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Advanced English Skills - oral and written
• Industry Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CEH, GCIH, CISSP.
• Attention to Detail: Catch small details in logs or anomalies.
• Time Management: Manage multiple tasks in high-pressure environments.
• Stress Management: Handle high-stress situations due to cyber threats.
• Continuous Learning: Keep informed about latest threats and tools.
