Position OverviewStellar Virtual is seeking a dedicated and innovative Secondary Art Teacher to join our fully remote educational team. The ideal candidate will hold a Texas teaching certification and possess a passion for art education, fostering creativity, and engaging students in a virtual learning environment. This position involves delivering high-quality art instruction to students in grades 6-12, designing curriculum, and utilizing technology to enhance the learning experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive art curriculum for secondary students, aligned with Texas state standards.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging virtual art lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Utilize a variety of digital tools and platforms to create interactive and immersive learning experiences.
• Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to promote artistic growth and development.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student success and maintain open lines of communication.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and emerging technologies.
• Organize and conduct virtual artistic showcases, and other art-related events.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
• Adhere to school policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

• Proven experience teaching art at the secondary level, preferably in a virtual setting.
• Strong knowledge of art theory, history, and application.
• Proficiency in using digital tools and educational technology platforms.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students in a virtual learning environment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and appropriate home office setup.

Education & Certification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field.
• Valid Texas teaching certification in Music (grades 6-12).
