About AIP:  Formerly  InfoArmor,  AIP is now a business unit of Allstate Corporation since 2019. We are a technology and services company that has led the Individual Identity Protection and Advanced Threat Intelligence pack for 15 plus years.

Our product is a proactive identity monitoring service that alerts our subscribers to the first sign of fraud and fully restores their identity. We empower consumers to safely embrace technology, knowing their personal information is in good hands by offering the most advanced identity and privacy protection available through our trusted partnerships

AIP’s QA Org, role scope and tech stack overview:

  • The Quality Assurance group at AIP is a close-knit group of 12 to 15 QA Automation/SDET’s that helps deliver best in class products and services to both internal and external consumers.

  • QA supports testing of all our products and features, tests across web applications, web portals, customer integrations, and vendor product integrations. End to end testing; in production to go live. QA deployments-UAT, pre and post environments

  • Reporting to the  Director-Quality Assurance, the  Sr. QE will play a key role as a member of our QA Engineering team which is striving to achieve as close to 100% automation coverage as possible.

  • Our current QA environment: 80% automation, 20 % manual

  • Automation framework and platform: Selenium with BDD, Behave for UI, and Karate and Postman for API (Javascript)

  • Cross browser testing (BrowserStack), validation testing across different devices (phone devices, tablets, etc.) and across operating systems

  • Testing on: Majorly API’s, stress testing, performance, mobile, UI/UX, validation testing, and ADA testing.

Essential functions & work examples

  • Participate in Product Designs and help performing functional, load, performance, security ADA and other types of testing. Architect test automation frameworks developed in Java, Karate DSL (cucumber API testing) for Microservice API testing and react / PHP UI testing.

  • Lead assigned projects along with 4-5 QA engineers; review requirements, design and execute manual and automation test cases.

  • Lead quality engineering for 3rd party services integration; collaborate with the 3rd party quality and development teams to ensure successful integrations.

  • Peer review validate tests of other QA Engineers; recommend alternative automation solutions where needed

  • Implement QA process, reporting, story tracking from conception to production deploy.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Postman API collections, scripts and tests for semi manual verification and developer use to verify API changes.

  • Create and maintain testing plans for services in Jira and Xray.

  • Create and maintain python testing frameworks for web and mobile applications using selenium and browser stack.

  • Create and maintain testing frameworks for APIs using tools such as Karate, Postman, Scala, Kafka, SQL and Selenium UI.

  • Maintain the continuous integration (Buildkite) steps for automation.

  • Lead bug triage and root cause analysis

  • Automate API’s though Karate, and BrowserStack

  • Maintain and develop automated tests using Python / Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright for PHP and React web UI testing.

  • Develop and maintain YAML, YML CI/CD pipelines for build and test in Jenkins to Buildkite, transformation for product source builds and automated testing.

  • Develop and maintain QA tools for automated test reporting to Jira / Xray, OpenAPI validation, performance test reporting for Gatling tests, data generation, and database validation.

  • Develop and maintain backend Spring Boot and Node Express API’s

Required Education, experience and skills

Technical:

  • Rich experience working on web applications and\or SaaS applications in an agile\scrum environment.

  • Demonstrable experience working on automation framework development & test automation using tools such as (Karate, Python, Java, Selenium).

  • Experience architecting Automation frameworks

  • Experience testing web services (GraphQL, Rest)

  • Experience with automated testing in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) environment

  • Experience with relational database systems, including SQL query development.

  • Basic proficiency in at least one scripting language (ie NodeJS, Javascript)

  • Experience with performance testing and Security testing is a plus.

  • Experience testing containerized applications leveraging a microservice architecture.

  • Experience testing in a distributed application environment.

Others:

  • High School Diploma mandatory

  • Well organized and can effectively prioritize and execute tasks.

  • Experience leading test projects, and peer-reviews

  • Articulate and good communication skills to break down tech speak to non-tech audience

Preferred education, skills and experiences

  • Experience in Native Mobile Applications automation testing via Maestro, Detox, or Appium

  • Experience setting up Linux based environments for testing

  • Experience with performance testing and Security testing

  • Experience with automating Salesforce applications

  • Experience with Datadog and Kafka messaging systems

  • Karate test-automation framework experience

  • Bachelors in Computer, Software, or related areas

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $85,600.00 - 152,650.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

Work Environment: Except for our Customer Care roles which necessitates onsite work, most other roles are remote. AIP is a remote-first company; however, our roles are open to in-office or flex work if you live in a city with a physical office location

Physical Demands: We primarily collaborate with our colleagues through virtual meetings and office collaboration tools. Employees will have to operate a laptop computer (PC or Mac available), computer software platforms, and other office productivity machinery, as necessary. Employees must be able to remain stationary for extended periods and must be able to observe and interpret written and/or verbal communication.
