Scrum Master
REMOTE WORKER; Washington D.C. Region
SFI is seeking a qualified scrum to support our clients Geography Division. The Scrum master will be a key member of multiple development teams building and migrating application to AWS. He/She will be responsible for working with Product Owners, Development/Scrum teams and all stakeholders during the agile development life cycle.
Scrum Master Duties:
- Coaches Agile team to create better solutions, improve business results, and better their processes.
- Helps to manage the User Story Repository (GitLab)
- Facilitates team meetings, including:
Backlog Refinement
Iteration Planning
Daily Stand-Up
Iteration Review
Iteration Retrospective
- Removes impediments and barriers to the team’s progress.
- Tracking and communicating agreed upon team metrics.
- Assists the team in implementing Scrum.
- Fosters adoption of Agile technical practices.
- Coaches the team on the best ways to refine their backlog and create Stories.
- Assist the Product Owner in preparing and refining the backlog Iteration/sprint Planning.
- Supports the Product Owner with backlog refinement and prioritization techniques to help ensure a healthy backlog.
- Experience in updating technical document and software requirement document.
- Use SQL to access and view data (stored primarily in Oracle or PostgreSQL).
- Review data for integrity and adherence to requirements.
- Extract data from databases for reports.
- Manipulate data using Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of related experience in IT / software development
- 3-4 years’ experience as a scrum master
- 3+ years’ experience with SQL
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with GitLab
Certifications (Required):
- CSM
- SAFe certification is a plus.

Other Information
- The salary for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 annually
- This role offers a flexible work arrangement, primarily remote with the understanding that occasional on-site presence may be required to support client needs.
