Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Military Analyst to join our team! In this role you will get to provide multi-faceted program analysis and managerial oversight affecting the development of policies or responsibilities to execute or carry out programs/projects with minimal supervisory guidance.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Maintaining currency on all applicable Army regulatory policies and procedures and playing a deliberate role in interpreting such.
  • Providing Subject Matter Expertise in supported military departments, institutions, commands, and programs.
  • Analyzing, synthesizing, and preparing “White Papers,” decision papers, briefings, and other correspondence providing information and guidance in support of the client.
  • Preparing special studies concerning impacts of limited military resources to provide guidance and support to principal military stakeholders and assisting the decision-making process for technical changes to specific systems or products supported.
  • Developing, maintaining, prioritizing, and briefing senior military/civilian leadership with recommendations based on extensive experience.
  • Using extensive knowledge of military departments, institutions, commands, and/or programs to ensure synergies through the incorporation and integration of requirements/actions in a standardized manner across the products and projects supported.
  • Demonstrating a thorough understanding of military budgetary regulations and policies, using discretionary judgment in the decision-making process when recommending program actions for implementation.
  • Participating and providing high-level qualitative or quantitative analysis for executive-level program management, status updates, program modification financial reviews, conference calls, or travels as required to provide enterprise analysis across the program workshops, working groups, councils of colonels (CoC's), and general officer steering committees (GOSC).
  • Initiating executive summaries, analytical charts and spreadsheets, trip reports, and memorandums as appropriate for various functions.
  • Investigating, resolving, and reporting to the client manager on a variety of variances and developing resolutions for difficult management concerns of critical far-reaching matters.
  • Ensuring clear communication regarding specific organizational issues.
  • Serving as a senior subject matter or technical/scientific resource and participating in the development of project management models for forecasting resource requirements and the resolution of contractual issues.
  • Facilitating the development of implementation strategies across stakeholders.
  • Attending, supporting, and providing analysis and preparation of materials for scheduled enterprise-level forums such as Program Management Reviews (PMRs), Program Objective Management (POM) updates, work groups, workshops, and systems reviews.
  • Performing other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in a field which provides the overall knowledge to perform the tasks identified in the Government’s Task Order.
  • 5 or more years of experience in like-type assignments within the client’s stakeholder community.
  • Graduate of U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, U.S. Army Management Staff College, Sergeant’s Major Academy, or other service equivalent school such as the War College.
  • Three (3) years of relevant training experience within the past ten (10) years at the Brigade/Battalion level or equivalent-sized organization.
  • At least three (3) years of relevant experience within the past ten (10) years at a Combat Training Center.
  • Valid State Driver's License and ability to pass all security requirements IAW installation Provost Marshall’s Policy to gain access to the installation.
  • An active current SECRET clearance or above.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Proficiency in the organization, operations, regulations, policies, and procedures of the military client.
  • Critical thinking to solve problems, prepare, staff, and provide recommendations to address challenges and constraints related to the client organization.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communicative skills.
  • A clear understanding and experience preparing military correspondence, staff documents, etc., commensurate with senior officer command level organizations.
  • Ability to meet the physical demand rating for the position (e.g., able to lift 50 lbs., physically navigate on foot through military training lands).

Salary Range: $86,700.00 - $151,700.00
