The Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Planner is responsible for planning the end-to-end supply chain for products within a Solenis Boiling & Cooling, Industrial, and Mining SBUs. The SBU Planner will collaborate with Commercial Team, Logistics, Procurement, and Plants to develop an optimal Value Chain and minimize the cost to serve our customers while providing high levels of service. Work includes, but is not limited, to supply / capacity planning, establishing stocking strategies, MRP strategy, metric analysis, root cause, and corrective action, and identifying supply constraints & supply scenarios. Participate in the S&OP monthly cycle discussions and provide documented results related to supply/inventory/production plans or escalate identified issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop long-term rolling supply forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation as part of a demand planning function. This will be done by working with Sales, Product Operations, and Marketing to understand changes in customer demand and then compare to the historical actuals and statistical forecast created by Infor CDP.
- Work with Commercial Team to align product launch(s) and changes to customer applications then work with Plants and Logistics to ensure timely supply of products to the new business.
- Participate, possibly facilitate, in monthly Supply Planning Meetings as a component of the monthly S&OP Cycle. Meetings will review the approved forecasted Demand Plan with Supply Chain stakeholders to ensure alignment with the Supply/Inventory/Production Plan.
- Engage Procurement to review inventory strategies aligning them with FG demand, plant storage capabilities, and manage through any raw material supply shortages which could impact production.
- Execute replenishment planning tasks/transactions in Mining SBU as needed
- Provide accurate available-to-promise (ATP) information to customer service representatives and manage any exceptions when ATP is not acceptable to the customer. This would include working with Production facilities to realign schedules to satisfy customer demands that exceed confirmed production schedules whenever possible. When it is not possible, or practical, to provide quantities or dates that exactly match the customers' requests, provide the best possible delivery promises.
- Create stocking strategies of both raw material and FG inventory to align with Solenis Supply Chain targets like Working Capital and Service Levels.
- Drive planning and production scheduling activities through MRP. The SBU Planner will be responsible to maintain MRP data integrity and collaborate with Plants and Master Data to adjusting MRP settings.
- Front continuous improvement opportunities by root cause analysis process and the development of corrective actions to address variances in Supply Chain Performance (e.g. Service Levels).
- Analyze the value chain supplying products within your SBU and look for optimization opportunities. Opportunities could include, but not limited to, working with Logistics to find different modes of transportation to deliver product to a customer, make changes to the current distribution (warehouse) network and/or changing the production footprint for products within your SBU.
- Understand and communicate the financial impact of Planning decisions on Cost of Goods, Plant CPU and Logistics spend.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS college degree or its equivalent.
- 2-3 years of related planning and scheduling experience
- Knowledge of SAP, INFOR, or other software related to demand & supply planning is preferred.
- Organized individual who can coordinate and lead activities that could involve multiple Solenis stakeholders and various levels of leadership.
- Computer literate in PC applications - good knowledge of Excel, Access, and Word.
- Experience in MIS/MRP systems, and inventory management a plus. APICS certification would be beneficial.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $73,500.00 and $102,900.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law. ApplyJob Profile
