Our team in Corporate Group is looking for a SAP Release Manager to join them. You will report to the SAP Enterprise Architect for Basis and work closely with the MOOG SAP Aerospace & Defense Transformation Team.

Our preferred candidate will have a hybrid work schedule at our East Aurora, NY corporate headquarters. However, we’re open to candidates who reside near our other US Moog locations for a hybrid structure as well. Remote work may also be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates possessing advanced industry knowledge and certification.

To be considered for the SAP Release Manager role, here’s what you’ll typically need to bring with you:

• Typically, a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems or Software Engineering.
• 5+ years of SAP ERP experience including expertise in either one of the areas of SAP S/4 Basis, SAP Security, or SAP functional offerings.
• Experience and hands-on with SAP Release Management (Strategy to execution).

As an SAP Release Manager, you will:

• Play a critical role in overseeing the release management process for SAP applications within Moog.
• Lead the planning and execution of release activities, including the development of release plans, coordination of testing efforts with the Global Business Process Owner’s (GBPO), SAP functional and technical teams including Moog Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE)and communication of release status to stakeholders.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, quality assurance, and production operations, to ensure that releases are delivered on time and meet the required quality standard.
• Review and resolve any SAP object dependencies within the changes and work with the different functional and technical teams to mitigate risk of production failures.
• Identify and mitigating risks related to releases, as well as facilitating post-release reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future release processes.
• Maintain comprehensive release documentation, including release notes, deployment plans, and post-release reviews.
• Establish and enforce release management processes and best practices, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards.
• Present the SAP changes to the change governance team (CAB) and ensure all compliance and audit requirements are fulfilled for moving changes to production environment.
• Facilitate change advisory board (CAB) meetings and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained.
• Generate and present regular reports on release activities, status, and metrics to leadership.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $135,000.00–$160,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
