eHealth Training & Sales Enablement Department is seeking an experienced, passionate Sales Trainer to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering virtual training to licensed and unlicensed health advisors, enrollment reps, member loyalty advisors, and call screeners. In addition, you will work with eHealth Sales Leadership and Training Team members to optimize the performance of eHealth Advisors by determining and solving training needs within our call center. 

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare newly hired advisors to self-study for the Department of Insurance licensing test by delivering Pro-Tips, daily goals on where each advisor should be, and deadlines on specific exams to complete the e-learning & pre-licensing requirements.
  • Prepare newly hired advisors by facilitating training on our sales process, product training, and company culture in a virtual and e-learning environment including job shadowing.
  • Manage new hire classes to ensure learners meet performance objectives such as attendance adherence, quality assurance, and customer care standards.
  • Mentor new hire trainers to support the development of the overall sales training program by training on current programs used by the department and providing support and feedback when needed.
  • Provide coaching/feedback to advisors taking calls during training.
  • Delegate tasks to supervisors such as attendance, sales process, certification completion, and updating HR and management regarding issues and concerns. Provide documentation to HR as needed.
  • Work with other departments as needed, such as Human Resources, Licensing, Sales Leadership, Sales Ops, and Compliance.
  • Design and develop visually engaging training in various learning programs, ensuring content is clear, concise, and aligned with learning objectives.
  • Demonstrate eHealth’s values in your behaviors, practices, and decisions.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, high school diploma required.
  • AHIP certified preferred.
  • 2 years' experience in person or virtual training, preferably in sales and the health insurance industry (Employer & Individual, Medicare, Ancillary, Enrollment and Member Retention).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in virtual training facilitation techniques and adult learning methodologies. Proven experience with group facilitation skills.
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision using established procedures.
  • Exhibits a “can do” attitude and solution-oriented approach to issues encountered.
  • Strong computer skills to operate effectively with company systems and programs, including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Teams Meetings, and Excel).
  • Experience in the use of e-learning tools, development, and implementation.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule dependent on the needs of a nationwide virtual workforce which may be from 6:00 AM-6:00 PM Pacific Time.

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed. Base pay is one component of eHealth’s total rewards package, which also includes an annual performance bonus, plus an array of benefits designed to support employees’ personal and professional wellness.
