Sales Representative (US-based Construction Tech Company)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid set-up overlapping EST, MST, and CST working hours.

Job Type: Full-time, Independent Contractor.

Salary Range: Up to $1,800 per month, plus equity share.

Role Overview

As a Sales Representative at this innovative construction SaaS company, you’ll play a critical role in driving user engagement, activation, and conversion from trial users to subscribers. You’ll leverage your deep product knowledge and passion for technology to guide users through specific features that lead to conversion success. Your expertise will help users maximize the value of the product during their trial period, and your proactive approach will ensure they transition smoothly to paid subscriptions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drive Sales and Product Adoption

  • Maintain consistent, high-touch communication across calls, SMS, and in-app messages.
  • Deliver effective product demonstrations that meet user-specific needs.
  • Customize Handoff's implementation to fit each user's processes.
  • Address and resolve objections to facilitate successful product adoption.

2. Enhance Conversion and Retention

  • Listen actively to understand user pain points and provide tailored solutions.
  • Offer continuous feedback to the product team to improve onboarding processes.
  • Use product insights to ensure a positive and lasting user experience.
  • Collaborate across teams to refine user engagement strategies.

3. Contribute to Process Development

  • Assist in developing and updating playbooks and talk tracks to standardize sales processes.
  • Use insights from user interactions to enhance sales strategies.
  • Align with the sales team to ensure consistent and effective communication.
  • Provide ongoing input for refining approaches to user objections and inquiries.

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • Product expertise: Experience with understanding and explaining complex products to users.
  • Active listening skills: Proven ability to identify customer needs and offer relevant solutions.
  • Problem-solving ability: Skilled at resolving customer challenges on the spot.
  • Comfortable with high touchpoints: Experience managing a high volume of customer interactions daily.
  • Coachable: Open to feedback and able to quickly improve performance

Nice-to-Have:

  • Familiarity with sales tech stack: Knowledge of tools like Slack, HubSpot, VOIP, and Stripe.
  • Quick learner: Ability to rapidly adapt to new technologies and software.
  • Experience with sales process development: Involvement in creating or improving sales processes or playbooks.
