Sales Representative - Southern Missouri Territory

Remote – must live within or near the territory .  The territory is Southern Missouri.

ADM Animal Nutrition, a division of Archer Daniels Midland Company and a leader in the commercial feed industry has an immediate opening for a proven sales leader in the Southern Missouri sales territory. 

Detailed responsibilities include:

  • A strong knowledge in beef nutrition is required. This is a very diverse territory and nutrition knowledge in other species is a plus.  
  • Develop strategic prospecting plan to sell to sustainable livestock producers and feed dealers.
  • Regularly contact customers and prospects, develop and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Achieve revenue, tonnage, market share, and product mix targets as directed for assigned listings and sales groups.
  • Provide sound nutritional and management consultation in an effort to enhance bottom line profitability.
  • There will be a requirement for ration balancing.
  • Assist assigned feed dealers in development and execution of a marketing strategy to grow market share.
 Requirements for this position include:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or applicable related experience), industry knowledge, working knowledge of proper management and feeding practices, computer literacy and the ability to become proficient in livestock (beef) feed formulation/ration balancing, and strong agricultural business aptitude.
  • Prior sales experience and a proven track record developing new accounts is a plus.
  • The successful candidate will have superior verbal and written communication skills, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
The candidate must reside within the territory, be comfortable with on-farm conditions (i.e. working around livestock, farm machinery, etc.), have a valid driver’s license, withstand automobile confinement to serve geographic area, and have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$51,600.00 - $96,400.00

Salaried Incentive Plan

The total compensation package for this position will also include commissions
