Overview
Summary
The Sales Operations Support Rep is responsible for managing back-office transactions to process sales orders. Typical duties may include sales assistance, sales order processing, order tracking and ensuring the overall accuracy of the ordering process. The Sales Ops Support Rep provides customers with feedback regarding order status and escalates exceptions or excessive delays to their manager. The Sales Ops Support Rep may also assist in the resolution of customer issues ensuring total customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Provides order processing for all sales transactions
- Provides vendor specific advice to the sales force to resolve product or service requests regarding issues
- Ensures margin percentages are within acceptable ranges for products and services as stated by management as appropriate
- Demonstrates knowledge of a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures
- Uses extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Assists Sales in receiving and processing orders directly from the customer
- Analyzes and determines where the order is to be placed and/or shipping method
- Maintains awareness as needed for customer environment relating to products, technology, licenses, vendors to obtain products, etc.
- Follows ISO 9001:2015 processes and procedures
- Communicates with customers, prospects and vendors regarding sales support as needed
- Provides data gathering and analysis assistance for the Sales and Management teams
- Follows up with customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction and minimize problems
- Collaborates with NAMs with collection efforts, solutions, pricing, etc. as required
Additional Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Validates project revenue and assists with tracking monthly revenue and revenue projections
- Maintains and updates backlog on open orders
- Looks for process improvements and brings those ideas forward as appropriate
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and exercise judgement and decision making
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient with all computer programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Previous experience with sales software such as CRM or ERP systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple demand, competing priorities and rapid change
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
- Associates or College degree
- Professional level proficiency level in Excel
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite ERP
- Three or more years of sales support experience, technology industry
- Previous business experience in a sales or telecommunications environment

Pay Range
$50,000 - $65,000
Base pay ranges are estimated. Actual base pay will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, skill set, and any other relevant factors. Incentive/variable pay opportunities are in addition to base pay.
