Sales Manager – Membrane Process Development  

Reports to: Director of Sales 

Location: Remote, within the United States + 30% domestic travel

SUMMARY: 

Sterlitech is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager for our Membrane Process Development (MPD) team. You will be responsible for developing and fostering a strategic/mutually beneficial relationship with all major accounts of your designated product line to grow business organically, to find new business and to achieve annual sales goals within an assigned territory and/or list of named companies.
This is an individual contributor role. 

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Set goals, strategy and execute action plans to achieve quota consistently year over year
  • Sell the Value Proposition of Sterlitech to build, maintain and progress a strong pipeline and to obtain revenue goals
  • Developing and deepening existing customers and key decision maker relationships
  • Educate customers about Sterlitech product and solution portfolio
  • Establish a regular call schedule with each account
  • Be resourceful to provide exceptional customer experience
  • Identifying and calling on potential new customers  
  • Research and develop prospects into customers
  • Be creative and show tenacity with developing new business
  • Providing business development and technical marketing support by understanding industry trends and drivers
  • Maintaining data, sales activity and forecasts in the CRM system  
  • Provide accurate monthly forecasting and sales reports
  • Represent Sterlitech internally and externally at industry events, trade shows and other potential sales networking events to maximize sales opportunities and promote company representation and relevance
  • Provide feedback and input to the organization regarding target markets, new client use cases, and product trends that support expansion of company capabilities and services knowledge
  • Be aware of competitor activities withing major accounts
  • Maintain a professional appearance and provides a positive company image
  • Perform work in a manner consistent with all company policy
  • Attend sales meetings and training as required
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management
  • Travel: up to 30% domestic 

Skills and qualifications 

  • 2+ years in a quota carrying, technical sales role

  • Engineering Degree: biology, chemistry or mechanical engineering 

  • Experience with membranes and / or crossflow/TFF is highly preferred 

  • A sales background in medical device, lab, food and beverage, water quality, or technical sales 

  • Sharp networking skills 

  • A commitment to self-development (Recent sales training within the last 2 years is a plus) 

  • Bilingual is helpful, but not necessary 

  • Strong business acumen and sales growth techniques 

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills 

  • Enthusiasm and curiosity for Sterlitech, it’s growth potential, and our customer’s needs 

  • Experience selling to technical end-users and engineering 

  • Strong problem-solving skills 

  • Prior experience with Sterlitech products is a plus! 

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

    In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000 annualized plus uncapped commissions, exclusive of fringe benefits. If you are hired at Sterlitech, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous benefits package, including company paid health insurance, 401(K) retirements savings plan with employer match, 3 weeks PTO per year, and more.
