Sales Engineer (Azure)

Symmetrio is seeking a Sales Engineer for its client, a multinational medical device company. This individual will play a critical role in engaging with clients, demonstrating technical solutions, and guiding them through the migration process from on-premise systems to cloud-based infrastructures utilizing Azure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background paired with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
This is a remote position offering On-Target Earnings (OTE) in the range of $220,000 to $230,000, with approximately 25% travel expected.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the sales team to provide technical expertise and support throughout the sales cycle, including pre-sales activities, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their existing systems and pain points, offering tailored solutions to facilitate seamless migration to cloud-based platforms.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations and proposals that effectively communicate the value of cloud solutions to stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and troubleshooting during proof-of-concept trials and solution deployments.
- Act as a liaison between the sales, engineering, and product management teams to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and addressed.
- Continuously stay updated on advancements in Azure technology and cloud solutions relevant to the medical technology sector.
- Monitor cloud performance, optimize costs, and ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices during migration projects.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Business, or a related field.
- Certifications: Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Azure services, networking, cloud security, and hybrid architectures.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in cloud pre-sales, solution architecture, or IT consulting, preferably in the healthcare sector.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Preferred Experience: Familiarity with medical systems, clinical data management, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
