Job Summary
Responsible for developing solutions with Comcast's full suite of WAN, Managed Security and Managed Network Services focused on the Fortune 1000 and GovED (SLED) clients. Technical Sales Engineer SME Overlay to the account team responsible for understanding customer technical and business requirements. The role is focused on developing high value solutions, deal strategy, and driving revenue growth for Comcast Business. Working closely and partnering with our account teams, product teams, and operations to deliver a great customer experience and enable strategic solution sales. Responsible for meeting with customers, understanding their business model, the role technology currently plays in their network, developing advanced solutions to address their business and technology needs, and work with the larger team to win the customer’s confidence, trust, and ultimately their business. Working closely with Sales leaders, upskill our sales and regional SE teams with new technologies, and increase our overall participation and win rates. Leads the collection of technical detail in support of the provisioning and activation of the service. Develop proposal preparation support and technical presentations to customers. Work with customer to build relationships and ensure the Comcast Sales and internal team understands the customers' current network and provide solutions that meets or exceeds expectations. Acts as a technical expert in own area within the organization. May work independently or as part of a team on more complex projects. Provides mentoring and guidance to more junior team members. May be responsible for leading a team but does not directly manage people.Job Description

- Overlay Sales Engineers that develop solutions leveraging Comcast Managed Network Services portfolio including Managed Broadband, Managed Router, Managed WiFi, Network/Security Architecture, Managed Security, SD-WAN, Unified Threat Management (UTM), Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), Managed Detection & Response (MDR) DDoS Mitigation Services, Unified Communications, Wireless LAN, complex WAN design, Advanced Routing, emerging technologies, and Metro Ethernet products.
- Lead SE for non-standard product solutions

- Lead non-standard Individual Case Basis (ICB), DRB, EDRB, Discussions
- Leadership overlay support on functional areas including legal and contracts.
- Onboard and support of the Market Expansion (out of footprint) SE Team
- Drive customer broadband aggregation solutions within Comcast presales process by clearly defining customer desired and minimum bandwidth requirements, customer preference for surveys, single vs. distributed billing, timelines and type of detailed proposal response.
- Documents, via diagrams and writing and presents the solution to the customer describing the benefits of the solution and build relationships with customers as a trusted advisor.
- Support market development growth initiatives. IE Multi-tenant DC design and smart solutions
- Shepherd complex design and non-standard sales engineering efforts for RFP's, designing cost-effective solutions plus solving configuration challenges through the standard or individual case base (ICB) process, supporting Sale Engineering, Account team, RFP team, legal.
- Assist in the preparation of RFP's, designing cost-effective solutions plus solving configuration challenges through the standard or Individual Case Basis (ICB) process.
- Collaborate with Network Engineering and Solutions Architecture, Product Management and Marketing teams to fully support the Presales Effectiveness of the Sales Engineering teams.
- Participate in strategic and tactical account planning.
- Possess and maintain the business acumen to anticipate future trends, competitive landscape, understand how organizations generates profits and manages cost and translate market knowledge into business opportunities.
- Review all technical aspects for quality of an opportunity documentation before the opportunity is accepted as sold.
- Lead the introduction of a new product, process or technology within the Comcast Business Sales Engineering community.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Must Reside in the West Division for this position. This includes the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Minnesota, New Mexico, Utah, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.

Primary Location Pay Range: $115,500.00 - $192,500.00This job can be performed in California with a Pay Range of $105,000.00 - $218,750.00Targeted Commission: $36,000.00Our sales compensation programs offer the potential for significant upside above targeted earnings for those who overachieve their sales targets.Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
