Overview

Deutsche Bank is looking for an experienced business development professional to join its Sales Team as a Sales Director in Trust and Agency Services within the Corporate Bank. You will focus on covering a wide range of trust, agency, escrow, and related services provided to the capital markets. In this capacity, you will build strong working relationships at a senior management level across business divisions, and with clients across industry sectors focusing on three main areas: Leadership, Client and Relationship Management and Deal Execution.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the [Sales lead /Managing Director] with developing and cultivate strong relationships with external non-Deutsche Bank clients, Law Firms, and Investment Bankers who can provide a continual flow of new clients for the Firm. Develop and cultivate own relationships and deal origination channels

  • Meet with clients in person, attend conferences and functions frequently to ensure brand visibility and personal client engagement

  • Focus on delivering client specific solutions that leverage the Bank’s expertise globally and position the Firm’s unique value proposition with prospects and clients

  • Support and own the generation of significant revenue for the Bank over a sustained period of time

  • Work effectively with internal partners in product management, implementation, client service, legal and compliance teams to implement Corporate Trust Products in a timely manner for the clients

  • Managing the client’s risk through frequent touch points and escalation governance. Identify and when appropriate, implement opportunities for increased efficiency and improved service to internal and external clients

How You’ll Lead

  • Work with Sales Lead/Managing Director and product heads to formulate and execute sales and product growth plans with ownership and accountability for delivery of results

  • Support the development and the mentorship of junior talent and analyst team in their technical and execution knowledge of Corporate Trust solutions and deal execution activities

  • Partner with Deutsche Banks’ Corporate and Investment Bank team and other internal relationship managers to provide seamless execution of Corporate Trusts Services associated with new transactions

Skills You’ll Need

  • Experience in a sales capacity with extensive, in-depth product and market knowledge. Experience in one or more of the following sectors/products would be beneficial: Insurance, Escrow, Collateralized Loan Obligations, Asset Backed Securities, Project Finance or Unstructured Debt sales

  • Proven track record of independently identifying and closing sales opportunities through an active calling effort which focuses on multiple clients and effectively managing multiple priorities, while generating significant revenue

  • Strong commercial acumen: understanding client/market problems, proactively tackling challenges and seizing opportunities as they arise

  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment and the impact on banking services within the Corporate Trust space

  • Experience in reporting client/prospect activities and the associated financial metrics

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $190,000 to $275,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
