SAE - Security Expert II (ISSO) - GEOMAP
Remote Worker - US Only
Shee Atika Enterprises (SAE) is currently seeking a qualified Security Expert II (ISSO) to join our Cybersecurity team to provide support on a 6-month HICATS Cybersecurity contract with the potential for follow-on work. This is a mostly remote role with the possibility of some in office work based on customer need.
The expectations and responsibilities of the ISSO will include, but not be limited to:
- Assists mission application in RMF Authorization to Operate (ATO) process.
- Performs STIG review, provides remediation recommendations and test results.
- Ensures software, hardware, and firmware complies with appropriate security configuration guidelines.
- Ensures proper configuration management procedures are followed prior to implementation and contingent upon necessary approval.
- Initiates protective or corrective measures when a security incident or vulnerability is discovered.
- Experience using various cyber security tools and analyzing results (Nessus, Checkmarx...Etc.)
- Provides guidance, oversight, and expertise on the overall security of DoD Information Systems.
- Performs a variety of routine project tasks applied to specialized cyber security problems.
- Managing eMASS security control test results and documentation.
- Overseeing the creation of RMF-related artifacts specific to NIST security control families.
- Candidate must be a US Citizen
- Candidate must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance
- Candidate must have a DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CND, CCNA Security, etc.)
- Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of professional working experience in IT Information Security.
- Candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Experience supporting DoD government customers preferred.
Work Environment
Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by SAE.
