This position primarily involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / on site: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

 

 

Role Overview:

 

RPG Developer who can assist and support the development and maintenance of our life insurance policy administration application software utilizing knowledge of tools, concepts, and principles to construct and deliver software in direct support of customer business needs.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Develop in and maintain the life insurance policy administration system written in RPG III, RPG IV, Embedded SQL, RPG ILE, RPG Free, RPG Service Programs, COBOL, SQL Stored Procedures and UDFs.
  • Performs complex and varied programming, based on specifications, utilizing appropriate development tools, common routines and interfaces using internal development languages
  • Follows internal standards for designs, development, maintenance and support to the application system
  • Supports and assists the QA with the creation of test plans as needed
  • Unit test and debugs code

 

What you'll bring:

 

  • 5+ years of development experience in RPG III, RPG IV, Embedded SQL, RPG ILE, RPG Free, RPG Service Programs, COBOL, SQL Stored Procedures and UDFs.
  • 5-7 years of development experience in CL
  • Working experience with Service Programs, ILE Modules, bound programs, binding directories, etc.
  • Working experience with Aldon Change Management tool
  • Working experience with IBM WebSphere Development Studio Client (Eclipse)
  • Working experience in IBM DB2 and SQL
  • Working experience with exposing iSeries programs for web applications (stored procedures, web services, etc.)
  • Strong analysis and design skills with a focus on system design and flow.
  • Experience with designing and implementing high volume, mission critical, productions systems.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Experience in a Windows desktop environment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to learn through on-the-job experience.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:  $93,200-$125,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
