Route Planning Lead – Environmental Services

Home based with travel across the UK

Full time, permanent

Up to £50,000 per annum, dependant on experience

With a professional, dedicated, and friendly team of Refuse and Recycling and Street Cleansing staff, we ensure that streets, homes, and businesses are kept clean, safe and tidy, whilst providing the very best levels of customer service to all members of the community that we serve.

 

Right now, we have an opportunity to recruit for a Route Planning Lead to design effective and innovative driving route solutions for our Environmental Services Contract.

 

Reporting to the Performance & Director you will form strong links and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure that the delivery solutions are aligned to the needs of the customer; operationally informed; commercially viable; and offer a lean and effective processes.

 

As Route Planning Lead you’ll support the contract team during route change process with technical knowledge and ongoing updates and liaise with external clients on route plans, changes and implementation at all levels.

 

This role will see you using software such as Webaspx as well as drawing on your broader industry knowledge to interpret data alongside customer requirements to design technical routing and re-routing proposals.

What you’ll need to do the role  

  

First and foremost, you will use your experience within the Waste industry or similar industries such as logistics or transport to work closely with project leads in the development of routing solutions.

 

You will have proven experience using Webaspx or similar routing software.

 

You will be a natural team player who can communicate well across multiple teams and developing projects. Although this role is mainly homebased you will be required to travel across the UK to visit contracts and support in the mobilisation of routes with an enthusiastic hands-on approach.

 

This role will see you using your analytical skills and strong IT skills to undertake research and utilise route software to produce optimised routes for contracts on a rolling basis.
