The Role:

Alternative Payments is looking for a Risk and Underwriting Manager to lead and scale our risk management and underwriting function. This role will be responsible for critical areas including KYC/onboarding, risk assessments, transaction monitoring, and chargeback/refunds management. You will be at the forefront of ensuring that our merchants and platform activities are conducted to meet our risk thresholds.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will work cross-functionally with product, sales, finance, customer success and operations teams to build a robust risk management culture that supports the growth of Alternative Payments.

Key Responsibilities - What you will do

  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate operational, financial, and regulatory risks across the organization.

  • Monitor chargeback, dispute and refund rates across merchant portfolio to identify high risk merchants and align on remediation actions.

  • Passionate about data analysis and can frame business decisions and tradeoffs effectively through quantitative analysis and visualization.

  • Ability to execute in ambiguous, fast paced environments under tight and unpredictable timelines and produce accurate, high quality results

  • High sense of urgency, a bias for action and work ethic

  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally within the organization
