ABOUT THE ROLE 

The Revenue Management Analyst will contribute to executing pricing & promotion strategies, assessment of competitive intelligence and analyzing sales trends for the Avalon Waterways Brand. This is a cross functional role that will support and collaborate across Marketing, Promotion, Operations and Sales Offices and report to the Revenue Manager.
 

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED 

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience (cruise, air or hotel) in revenue management (revenue growth, pricing/inventory).
  • Proficiency in data and analytics tools, including advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Power BI, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Sensible mindset with the ability to leverage technology for efficiency and productivity
  • Extraordinary attention to detail

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS PREFERRED  

  • Familiarity with the travel, cruising, hotel or touring industry.
  • Strong analytical, communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Business acumen with curious, opportunistic and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics
  • Certification in revenue management
  • Yield management software

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Work with complex data sets to support and evaluate the impact of pricing/promotion initiatives using performance metrics. Recognize and help implement continuous-improvement opportunities.
  • Support the implementation and management of pricing, inventory, and promotional initiatives to ensure a streamlined go-to-market process.
  • Working with business partners, coordinate and support the creation of competitive intelligence to communicate product, pricing and promotion position across all markets.
  • Engage in key partnerships/projects as part of the Revenue Management team to ensure alignment and long-term success of Avalon pricing/promotion strategies.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT 

The following teams make up the Product & Operations department: Contracting, Data Management & Product services, Product Creation, and Tour Operations. Product & Operations is responsible for the creation, operation, inventory management and delivery of Globus, Cosmos, and Avalon Waterways in select destinations. This department is also responsible for supporting tour products planned and sold worldwide, including managing inventory and content.
