We are seeking a talented individual to join our Wealth Investments team at Mercer. This role can be based in Pittsburgh, Chicago, Houston, or St. Louis, and it is a hybrid role with a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As an Retirement Investment Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the ongoing provision of investment advice to a wide range of institutional clients (e.g., defined benefit, defined contribution, other qualified and non-qualified investment plans, etc.). You will have the opportunity to analyzing different investment markets, managers' investment styles, and portfolio characteristics and evaluating their impacts on investment performance.

We will count on you to:
- Examine and monitor developments at investment management firms and communicate to clients as appropriate
- Act as project manager – ensuring that high quality client deliverables are delivered on deadline, delegating work to analysts, providing guidance and ensuring peer review
- Produce accurate and detailed client reports through analysis of client-specific investment data including ongoing investment performance and manager monitoring
- Communicate with investment managers and custodians to gather and/or clarify client-specific data for reporting or any other client related matters
- Play a key role in investment manager searches, investment structure reviews, mutual fund selection, asset allocation studies, new business presentations and other investment-related activities
- Attend and participate in quarterly or ad-hoc client meetings
- Analyze and edit investment policy statements
- Conduct strategic portfolio structure and asset allocation analysis
What you need to have:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/institution with demonstrated work in business/investment-related courses
- 2-5 years of investment-related experience or work with a recordkeeper
- Self-motivation, with ability to work well in a highly collaborative team environment
- Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities and work in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills
- Adaptability, sound judgement, and high-level attention to detail
- Eagerness to learn and keep up to date with the investment industry and market conditions
- Good technical skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Willing to travel for client meetings (5-10%)
