This role provides critical operational support to multiple stores, Store Managers, and their teams, while ensuring operational best practice in collaboration with the wider operations team.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Regional Operations

  • Be the operational point of contact for around 20 stores in your primary market(s).
  • Regularly make in-person visits to your primary markets to build relationships, facilitate training and audit store compliance within defined SOPs and best-practices.
  • Work with store and market management to resolve location issues and deliver improvements.
  • Address support tickets raised by your locations and provide supplementary support to other markets and within your established areas of expertise*
  • Periodically review receiving and sales data in the POS (LightSpeed Retail) to ensure store teams maintain accurate transactional and inventory data.
  • Analyze and investigate inventory shrink and any incidents of property damage to determine procedural and physical security adaptations that minimize future losses
  • Support the fulfillment operations of the local supply chain, for replenishment, inventory optimization and eCommerce transactions
  • Address any facilities maintenance issues
  • Administer supplies/consumables purchasing (primarily Amazon Business)
  • Maintain appropriate Health & Safety and Risk Management protocols at the locations, performing regular audits and ensuring emergency drills, procedures, injury reporting etc is effectively conducted by all locations
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and contractors that support the day-to-day store operations
  • Compile operational reports to inform store management of operational compliance and KPIs
  • Coordinate with IT and 3rd Party vendors to maintain the IT networks, hardware and software systems on site

*     Area of Expertise

Other teammates in this role have established their expertise in areas such as Project Management, Vehicle Fleet Operations & Operational Training. They “own” these functions for the team nationally. The outgoing teammate in this vacancy had built expertise in technology systems such as Zoom VOiP phones, Bicycle Rental Manager and state’s local eBike incentive programs. As such, aptitude for supporting cloud-based SAAS applications would be advantageous.

WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN 

  • Must reside in the Rockies or Northern CA areas
  • 3+ years operational experience in a multi-location retail business, preferably the bicycle industry
  • Ability to interpret financial reports, eg. Inventory Balance Sheets, P&Ls, budgets
  • Understanding of inventory management
  • Familiarity with Point of Sale systems, LightSpeed Retail a plus
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Prior experience using Project Management tools would be highly advantageous (we use Jira).
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Driver License
