1Position Summary/Job Duties:
Needed Special Needs Caregiver In Poynette
Our son 19 years old (personality age ranges from 10-16). He enjoys being outside, playing games and watching movies. He has a good sense of humor and memory for movies and music. We are looking for someone with Special Needs experience to care for him.
Familiarity with any of the following:is a bonus:
- Sensory issues
- OT
- Speech
- Special education
- OCD therapy
- Familiarity with other autistic tendencies is beneficial
Duties will include:
- Socializing
- Working on Daily Living skills
- Having fun.
I will also be home during this time doing things that I am not able to accomplish otherwise. Light housework is appreciated during downtimes.
Pay is $20-25/hour BOE. Approximately 6-10 hours per week. Will reimburse for drive time. The start date is flexible.
Hours available - M between 12-5, T between 3-5, W between 1-5, Friday between 12-5. Shifts will be 2 or 3 hours at a time.
This is a respite position through IRIS and paperwork will need to be completed.
His typical routine is watching some TV, doing chores, and exercising as well as some social interaction. Please let me know if you are interested.
Qualifications:
Autism experience or other special needs experience.
Physical Demands
