OVERVIEW

The Resource Development Specialist for Home Study & Post Release Services (HS/PRS) is responsible for creating written and video educational materials for unaccompanied children (UCs) and their sponsors, as well as resources to be utilized by HS/PRS staff and other social service providers working with UCs. This position reports to the Program Manager of the UC Resource Center.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop psychoeducational videos and handouts in multiple languages for unaccompanied children and their families
- Create written and video resources for HS/PRS staff and other social service providers working with UCs to promote providersā€™ knowledge and use of best practices
- Research relevant subject matter/topics to create accurate and relevant support materials for USCRIā€™s UC Resource Center
- Maintain working knowledge of external relevant online resources and materials to share with HS/PRS staff and other providers through the UC Resource Center
- Organize materials for providers and families on the UC Resource Center
- Assist with development of training materials in collaboration with the training team, as needed
- Conduct needs assessments and analyze various data to identify resource needs
- Develop resource development plan in collaboration with the Program Manager - UC Resource Center
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelorā€™s degree in a behavioral science, education, or social services field with at least three yearsā€™ experience in child welfare, case management, and working with immigrant children
