Job Summary

As a Residential Solar (RS) Asset Analyst Intern, you are a member of one of IGS’s fast-paced emerging businesses. A RS Asset Analyst Intern is responsible for a variety of operations related tasks such as data analysis, reporting, performance analysis before and after installation of a solar system, asset monitoring, working with third parties to resolve maintenance issues, a strong willingness to learn and tackle new problems. This role directly contributes to IGS’s goal of scaling our Residential Solar business quickly and efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and identify processes breaks and design solutions to resolve issues.
  • Determines appropriate actions for system issues while monitoring all installed residential solar assets via Excel Spreadsheet and Databases. 
  • Ensures the systems are performing optimally.
  • Gathers and analyzes data to drive business decisions and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Leads onboarding meetings with new external partners
  • Facilitates weekly calls with maintenance providers to review outstanding issues and to dispatch technicians when needed.
  • Completes requirements gathering and analysis based on business needs.
  • Monitors system behavior such as degradation, production, and underperforming systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Supports IGS billing Analyst team in accurately billing customers, resolving discrepancies and addressing customer billing concerns.
  • Facilitates inspections of residential solar systems and reviews reports from 3rd party engineering firms to address performance issues and identify problems.
  • Develops user guides and job aids to carry out daily tasks and cross train other team members.
  • Reviews and audits own completed work for accuracy, makes corrections when necessary, and timely reports status to management.
  • Performs other responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrates a drive for results, efficiency, and embraces the value of Continuous Improvement. 
  • Ability to learn new technology platforms (partner portals, reporting portals, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills and document management skills with an acute attention to detail
  • Intermediate SQL skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team
  • Ability to navigate your own workload by responding to customer system issues first and implementing project related initiatives in downtime.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Working towards a college degree in Business Administration, IT, Operations, or other applicable field of study, or equivalent
  • Analytical and analysis experience a plus
  • Solar energy and installation knowledge experience a plus
  • Intermediate skills in all MS Office Applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, SharePoint)

Salary Range:

$31,200.00 - $52,000.00

*This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.
