- Offer & Feedback
- I am a designer. What track should I select & how does Method view or differentiate experience design & product design?
- The overall design “spectrum” consist of one end being heavily strategy focused and the other being more focused on the execution of design. That strategy mindset plays a larger role with our Experience Design team where they are helping clients understand their problem with the help of research and workshops where our Product Design team is responsible for helping them realize those efforts in design solutions. However, it is important that designers don’t feel locked into those roles and we often have more hybrid teammates who flex from one end of the spectrum to the other.
- Select the discipline area that you would like to align more closely too and know that you’ll be able to highlight the breadth of your experience across the design spectrum during the interview process.
- Is the Residency Program a pipeline to a full-time role?
- While it is our desire that individuals we connect through our Residency Program will be able to join us full time at Method, it’s not the most common next step following a residency. Historically, we have converted less than 5% of interns into full-time roles. The following informs our ability to bring residents on full-time following their participation in the program:
- What if I am overqualified for the Residency Program, but am still interested in Method?
- At times, we receive Residency applications from overqualified candidates. But not to worry! If we feel you would be a better fit for one of our full time roles, we’ll make sure your resume and applications make it to the right people.
- Are portfolios required?
- Portfolios are required for almost all disciplines as it shows a real pursuit in their field of interest.
- When I can expect to hear from your team?
- By submitting an application to our residency program, you contribute your information to a pool of candidates that we will contact every January in preparation for our summer program.
