Purpose

The purpose of this position is to provide research support for technical assistance and dissemination activities at the National Deaf Center.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of stakeholder resources by drawing from best available evidence, current research, and innovative strategies

  • Support with content development and facilitation of presentations, training, and other targeted technical assistance activities.

  • Lead research support to help team responses by identifying and summarizing relevant data and the best available evidence.

  • Lead research and content synthesis projects as assigned.

  • Support data collection, analysis, and dissemination efforts which include primary and secondary sources, in support of NDC goals.

  • Support the development of surveys and assessments.

  • Contribute to the field by sharing research findings through communication efforts and publications.

  • Actively contribute to an environment and culture of community and belonging, by participating in center-wide training, discussions, and implementation.

Required Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in a related field. At least six years of experience working in educational settings with deaf students. Demonstrated experience with conducting literature reviews, data analysis, and evaluation. Beginner proficiency in American Sign Language or willingness to learn.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Four or more years of experience working in educational settings with deaf students. Demonstrated experience with project management. Master’s degree in research, evaluation, assessment or related fields. Intermediate or greater proficiency in American Sign Language preferred.

Salary Range

$64,000 - $70,000
