The Tobacconomics team at the Bloomberg School of Public Health is hiring a Research Analyst to provide research and analytic support on several projects. The Research Analyst will work closely with the Principal Investigator and economists.


Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee tax, price, and other related data for multiple low- and middle-income countries based on experience with relevant data and large datasets.
  • Design and execute complex statistical and econometric analyses.
  • Author/co-author data tables, figures, and reports for publication as internal and external research documents, such as presentations, policy briefs, factsheets, white papers, and manuscripts
  • Speak at or attend meetings and conferences on behalf of team/JHU.
  • Review and provide technical feedback on research reports, manuscripts and other materials prepared by our international partners.
  • Other duties as assigned.


*This is a full-time position that is 100% remote.



Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in a related science.
  • Six years related experience, with proven technical knowledge and laboratory experience.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior research experience, such as data collection, data management, and data analysis.
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with a team.
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills.

 

 

Classified Title: Research Analyst 
Role/Level/Range: ACRP/04/MF  
Starting Salary Range: $74,400 - $130,400 Annually ($87,500 targeted; Commensurate with experience) 
Employee group: Full Time 
Schedule: Monday to Friday: 9 am – 5 pm 
Exempt Status: Exempt 
Location: Remote
