Remote Traveling position (70% travel)

I. Job Summary
Provide commissioning and/or facility major maintenance support for all WMRE LFG to Energy facilities throughout North America.  This role will primarily focus on mechanical portion of facility operations, not limited to, (removal & installation, disassembly & reassembly, preventative maintenance, initial installation verification of electrical systems, controls, process treatment equipment, etc..).  Upon completion of tasks, specialist will be required to assist local operations with startup, troubleshooting and placing the facility into operation.  The expectation is for this specialist to be equally trained to perform mechanical skills equal to OEM field capabilities.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 

  • Responsible for ensuring safe working conditions and environmental compliance
  • Responsible for administering WM Renewable Energy (WMRE) operations policies
  • Commissioning of new WMRE LFG to Energy facilities and/or major facility maintenance
  • Work with WM and External business partners to receive and deliver training on site specific facility equipment
  • Utilize digital reporting tools to document and track daily commissioning and maintenance progress along with confident and professional communication skills via conference calls and emails to adequately communicate project status updates.
  • Confidently be trained or certified on specialty tools to complete job tasks
  • Experienced in gaseous operations facilities
  • Travel up to 70% throughout North America (USA and Canada)

III. Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. Must Live and Work in the US.

A. Education and Experience

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (accredited) required.
  • Experience: 3 years Commissioning of LFG to Energy facilities required; or  5years WMRE demonstrated technical skills required; or 3 years RNG, Engine or Turbine facilities plant operations and maintenance required.

B. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

  • Experience operating Caterpillar engines that utilize landfill gas as a fuel source, electric power generation from reciprocating engines, diagnosing paralleling switchgear OR Renewable Natural Gas facility operations. This should include reading schematics, ability to trace circuits and full understanding of process equipment that supports the entire facility.

The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S.  is $_80,500__ - $_$118,105__.  This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.  The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for  bonus.
