Job Title: Remote Staff Accountant (with CPA license) - 100% Work From Home

Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary:  $1,920 - 2,400 USD/monthly depending on experience

Schedule:  Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm or 9:00am - 5:00pm (flexible) Eastern Time

They are seeking a skilled and experienced accountant to join their team. This role involves conducting financial audits, preparing tax returns, and providing outsourced accounting services tailored to their nonprofit clients.

 

 Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough audits of nonprofit organizations, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for nonprofit clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide outsourced accounting services, including but not limited to financial reporting, budgeting, and payroll management.
  • Collaborate with nonprofit leaders to provide strategic financial insights and guidance.
  • Stay up-to-date with nonprofit accounting practices, tax law changes, and financial regulations

 

 

 Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Local CPA license required to be considered for the role
  • At least 4 years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for experience in public accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
  • Experience in US based companies
  • Excellent English level both written and spoken
  • Must speak Spanish
