Remote - RFE Declaration Writer for Immigration Law Firm

The RFE Declaration Writer will responsibly and reliably draft legal declarations in response to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) issued by USCIS. Throughout this process, the RFE Declaration Writer will briefly research the case background, follow instructions drafted by attorneys, and communicate as necessary in order to meet deadlines. A strong attention to detail and experience with drafting and proofreading documents are characteristics of an ideal candidate. This candidate must be fluent in English, both speaking and writing.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am-6pm EST (Full-Time Job)
Payrate: $13.50/hr
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
· Meet approved standards of guidelines and expectations for RFE written declarations on a consistent basis
· Meet approved standards of guidelines and expectations for RFE requested revisions (within 24 business hours)
· Utilize notes collected from RFE interview team to create a compelling story about the hardships experienced by our client
· Thoroughly proofread RFE drafted declarations to ensure they are accurate, complete, and free of errors
· Attend daily huddles with the Team Leads to obtain stylistic updates and share learnings
· Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned by management
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
· Prior understanding of all pertinent immigration case types (T-visa, U-Visa, Med DA, VAWA)
· Strong computer literacy
· Possesses excellent English interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
· Strong attention to detail
· Highly motivated with a strong determination to help the underdog
· Highly accountable and proactive with communication amongst the team and cross-functional partners
· Strong organizational skills and adaptability to changes in a fast-paced environment
· Proven ability to meet deadlines and time manage themselves
Minimum Qualifications
· High school diploma (or equivalent) required, with legal education or certification preferred
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
· 1 year experience in fields related to immigration law
1 year experience in legal writing
