Job Title: Remote Operations Manager (100% Work From Home)
Location: Remote from Latin America Position Type: Full-time Salary: $1,500 - 1,800 USD/month Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm Eastern Time with 30min lunch break Job Overview: We are looking to hire a high energy customer service manager to be part of a growing self-storage company located in the United States. The position is considered full-time and will be reporting directly to the owner.First and foremost, this is a customer service role. You must be able to be confusingly nice to our customers – each CSR is expected to earn 5+ 5-star google reviews per month, and you are to lead by example.
Expanding upon your CSR role, you are also responsible for maintaining and updating processes for the CSRs and ensuring that all CSRs are following procedures properly. By mid 2025 they plan to have 1-2 CSRs reporting to this role, and most of your customer support responsibilities will be replaced with special projects. Responsibilities: Customer Service:
- Take calls from tenants and prospective customers
- Delight our customers, solve their problems, help them rent units, and earn 5-star reviews
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
- Assist with rental agreements, move-ins, and move-outs.
- Manage all inboxes for each facility as needed
- Monitor facility security systems.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs and unit turns with vendors and part-time boots on the ground personnel.
- Manage capital expenditures on properties, from start to finish, only checking in with the owner for approvals.
- Ensures that weekly property management activities are completed at every property
- Collect rental payments and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare financial reports and analyze performance metrics.
- Implement strategies to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.
- Oversee and manage a team of part-time on-site staff, providing guidance and support.
- Manage a team of call center staff to properly manage our properties remotely.
- Delegate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
- Manage and complete special projects assigned by the owner or other team members.
- Prepare and submit weekly unit reports and audits for each property, subject to review by direct supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies:
- Ownership mentality: feels like an owner of the property, and wants it to do well, and is obsessed with making sure everything runs perfectly
- 3+ years of experience in an Administrative or Operations Assistant role
- Experience with CRM systems
- Experience with the storage industry is a plus
- Dedicated to understanding the company and being prepared to engage in discussion on any facility topics
- Excellent communication skills (English spoken and written)
- Ability to be kind, patient, and outgoing to our customers
- You must be very organized and detailed oriented
- Must have a strong work ethic and track record of delivering results
- You should earn 5+ 5-star reviews per month based on your exuberant attitude
- Must be intelligent, trustworthy and competent
- Must be outgoing, very friendly and bubbly on the phone
- You should have a high “figure it out factor”
- Reliable internet/WiFi and excellent audio quality with minimal to zero background noise
- You must be very organized, detailed oriented and on top of to-dos.
