The Recruiter is responsible for full-cycle talent acquisition and regularly uses independent judgment and discretion, which critically impact’s GuideStar’s successful business operations, to recruit, screen and recommend placement of staff by leveraging creative sourcing methods.  This position collaborates daily with GuideStar’s hiring managers to proactively identify present and future hiring needs and serves as a subject-matter expert for recruiting (primarily clinical) candidates in a highly competitive medical landscape. Our ideal recruiter has a background in the healthcare industry combined with work experience in screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates. The ability to function autonomously, remotely, is essential to the success of this position. Ultimately, the Recruiter’s responsibilities are to use independent judgement as well as their knowledge, experience and discretion to ensure GuideStar attracts, hires and retains the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline through creative and proactive sourcing. 

In this role, you will:

  • Post open positions to meet production goal off four (4) new hires per month.
  • Monitor and apply recruiting best practices.
  • Identify ideal candidate profiles, prospect for candidates, and build relationships with the goal of maintaining a full pipeline to support the timing of strategic staffing needs.
  • Initiate and execute active recruiting, both remotely and on-site in our operating regions, including social media, trade shows, networking events, community events, and referrals.
  • Identify and execute creative ways to access and recruit talent.
  • Resume review and screening, using independent judgement.
  • Conduct initial interviews with applicants/candidates and make hiring recommendations using independent judgement.
  • Schedule interviews for all stages of the interview process
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.
  • Verify candidate licensing.
  • Extend verbal offer, draft LOI/Written offers and extend contract to candidates.
  • Coordinate post-offer handoff to HR for onboarding.
  • Understand and promote the mission of GuideStar with applicants, candidates and general inquiries.
  • Communicate with hiring managers regarding staffing plans for each region.
  • Coordinate, execute and participate in recruiting efforts as directed by management team(referral bonuses, mass mailings, conference booths, etc.)
  • Evaluate the success of job postings and make/recommend improvements.
  • Understand the goal/ROI for each position and consider all candidate and job postings with an eye toward this success.
  • Provide insight and solutions for recruiting process improvement.
  • Evaluate recruiting process; execute process improvements to increase recruiting efficiency and shorten timeline from application to offer (letter of intent).

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required; bachelor degree preferred.
  • Prior experience as a full cycle recruiter required - in the medical/healthcare industry strongly preferred.
  • With associate or bachelor’s degree: 3+ years of proven, successful work experience as a full cycle recruiter is required. Without a college degree: 10+ years of proven successful work experience as a full cycle recruiter.
  • Experience in both corporate/in-house and with staffing agencies preferred.
  • Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews(structured, competency based, situational, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with various selection processes (phone interviews, video conference, group interviews, testing, reference checks, etc.)
  • Established professional social media presence. Proven experience using social media as a marketing recruitment tool, especially LinkedIn Professional, Indeed, and Facebook.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Able to successfully directly source passive candidates, not rely on applicants.
  • Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and Customer Relationship Management tools. Experience with Lever CRM a plus.

  • Able to pass background testing, including motor vehicle record review and drug screening.
