About the Role
This position will be supporting Avaya's Federal Solutions and Navy Shipboard on-site in shipyards in Norfolk, VA. 30 to 40% travel will be required. Candidates with past or current Secret Security clearance are preferred. If not currently in place, must have the ability to obtain clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site and remote support to the US Navy for Avaya Communication Manager (ACM) and related applications
- Configure, install, and test systems to ensure operational efficiency
- Support the Department of Defense - US Navy with services for Avaya and other vendor products
- Manage installation, maintenance, and repair of multi-vendor systems, including hardware, software, networking products, and operating systems
- Ensure customer satisfaction by advising on preventive maintenance and system configurations
- Address and resolve complex issues independently, providing technical leadership as needed
About You
- Experience with Avaya Communication Manager
- IT background with networking experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft, VMware, Virtualization, and RedHat
- Previous experience in a similar IT field role
