Job Description

Faculty are at the core of our student and institutional success. As Unitek Learning continues to grow its programs, faculty scheduling will be a critical component of ensuring our students have an incredible learning experience. The faculty scheduler will proactively schedule faculty to ensure that all instructional needs are met, manage faculty workload, adhere to faculty workload policies, identify anticipated staffing needs, communicate with faculty as part of the scheduling process, and be able to quickly identify available faculty when unforeseen circumstances arise. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, and a strong attention to detail. The faculty scheduler is part of the faculty performance management team and reports to the Director of Faculty Performance.

  • Ensure that an appropriate pool of faculty are available and that the exemplars are identified and scheduled proactively.
  • Analyze data regularly and identify opportunities for continuous improvement efforts for scheduling efficiencies.
  • Work with academic leadership and human resources to ensure streamlined entry, course rescue, and exit processes for faculty as it relates scheduling.
  • Communicate regularly with leadership and key stakeholders the status of scheduling and how many faculty are needed for future terms.
  • Coordinate the development of the faculty schedule for each term, including establishing schedule development timelines and collecting necessary data.
  • Input scheduling information into the database and request data processing to produce a tentative schedule for each department, ensuring accuracy and adherence to scheduling policies.
  • Maintain required instructional workload for reporting accuracy.
  • Verify faculty load against contractual obligations, to ensure compliance.
  • Review course load audit reports and instructor load audit reports for accuracy and report regularly to academic leadership.
  • Routinely evaluate faculty pool by course and need and update existing roster to promote efficient and effective hiring practices.
  • Answer inquiries concerning scheduling activities, policies, or programs by faculty or direct to appropriate resource/personnel.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Compensation starting at $26/hr

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
