The Position

The primary role of the Business Partner is to drive and manage business related processes for a Core Medical Team (CMT) and ensure timely planning and execution of annual deliverables, including project and budget management. In alignment with Core Medical Team leadership, the Business Partner plans and executes defined strategic and life-cycle projects related to the therapy area and ensures consistency with other therapy area medical teams. Drive CMT core processes. Plan and execute strategic and life-cycle dependent projects. Align processes with stakeholders across portfolio.

 

Relationships

This position reports to the Assoc Director, MA Strategic Initiatives and is part MA Strategy Planning and Omnichannel Engagement team.

 

Additional key internal NNI relationships include CMT leaders and members and other CMR functions as well as Market Access & Public Affairs, Marketing, Commercial Effectiveness, Legal, Finance and IT.

 

External relationships include multiple vendors and consultants.

 

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for overall management of CMT processes including coordination of CMT activities and projects as well as annual strategy and tactics development and budget planning
  • Utilize project planning principles to ensure CMT projects/activities are flawlessly coordinated and executed
  • Where possible, share best practices and align CMT processes with other CMT business partners
  • Collaborate effectively with external vendors and internal stakeholders to continually refine CMT effectiveness
  • Supports the development of qualitative and quantitative performance measures to demonstrate CMT effectiveness

 

Physical Requirements

0-10% overnight travel required. Position is remote; Ideal candidate would be based near Plainsboro, NJ with the ability to come into Plainsboro as needed;

 

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor 's degree required
  • A minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible project management experience in the pharmaceutical industry required
  • PMP certification Preferred
  • Good understanding of project and program management principles, methods and technique and process improvement
  • Demonstrated excellent communication (written, verbal and presentations) and stakeholder management skills with cross-functional team interaction
  • Excellent collaborator with ability to build and maintain relationships with people at all levels of the organization
  • Strategic mindset, understanding of market needs and demonstrated understanding of legal and regulatory environment of pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated analytical skills. Capability to turn data into insights and provide recommended actions based on a solid knowledge of the business
  • Demonstrated decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities
  • Excellent computer skills and strong working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of applications
  • Self-confident with a growth-mindset and continually focused on product improvement, innovation and results. Ability to engender trust and respect of peers and superiors
  • Presentable, articulate, goal-oriented, with high integrity and strong ethics

 

The base compensation range for this position is $140,000-160,000. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance. 
 
Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
